Did you know that United States government specifications require
that flags made in our country must:
- use specific shades of red and blue dye (Old Glory Red and Old Glory Blue)
- use brass grommets
- have double-sewn stripes
- have four rows stitching on the flyhem
- have rip-stop fly ends
United States Flags
Our bestselling flags have embroidered stars and are made of polyester or nylon. Polyester is an open-weave and is a stronger material than nylon. Nylon is less expensive.
3' x 5' is a good size for residential flags. A 4'x6' flag looks
good on a pole 20'-25' tall. Here are some sample prices for high

State Flags
We recommend purchasing a high-quality flag for outdoor use, treated to resist sun and chemical deterioration. We provide flags made of 100% lustrous DuPont Nylon Fabric finished with canvas heading and brass grommets.
For Mid-Atlantic state flags (New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia and also the District of Columbia):
